2 Axis Tracker against a dual axis design addresses the shortcomings of the single axis tracker by providing continuous seasonal movement along the north-south axis, in addition to daily east-west movement, thus tracking the sun optimally at all times, hence increases the yield exponentially.
There are predominantly two types of trackers available i.e Dual axis & Single axis. Dual axis tracker by virtue of high capital cost is not economically viable, whereas single axis trackers makes the solar PV panel moves in East to West direction and does not address the sun path during Vernal & Autumnal Equinox and winter solstice periods. Due to this the angle of incidence of sun irradiation on the solar PV panel is not close to perpendicular. Thus, giving negative yield as compared to fixed installation.
Our 2 Axis Tracker addresses the shortcomings of the inherent design issues of a single axis tracker by providing continuous seasonal movement along north-south axis in addition to daily east-west movement. North-South movement addresses both the Equinox and Winter solstice periods, which allows the angle of incidence of sun irradiation close to perpendicular. Thus, giving positive yield every time. Other design features are modular in nature and high percentage of terrain adaptability. Self-lubricating polymer based bearings with low O&M cost.
2 Axis Tracker is a Next Gen technology, which replaces and disrupts existing Single Axis Tracking technology by giving dual axis performance at a single axis cost, hence rendering it obsolete.
