Nocca is an invasive mechanical ventilator capable of operating in a pressure controlled mode. Affordable, reliable and power efficient, this modular invasive ventilator can operate on both medical air and ambient air. The ventilator has an IOT enabled design which allows multiple ventilators to be controlled remotely, making Nocca V110 a much safer and easy to manage option for the doctors.
What pain-point does it solve?
The steady increase in the footprint of COVID-19 in India has created an urgent need for invasive ventilators in the nation.
Who are the ideal users of our technology?
How does it solve the pain-point?
The ventilator has been designed in a way that it can be manufactured at a large scale at multiple sites with the materials and parts currently available with Indian suppliers and manufacturers. It can work with medical air line + oxygen as well as ambient air + oxygen thus providing the versatility to operate under a variety of circumstances. The designed mechanical ventilator can operate in pressure-controlled mode.
It will be permanently connected to a mobile phone which will be used to control the device and display critical information. It requires very low wattage and can be run with solar panels. Since the design is modular, the proposed invasive ventilator can also be used as a non-invasive. It is an IoT enabled system to create a Ventilator Management System. This allows (i) doctors to control the ventilators remotely and thus less exposure to patients and/or ventilator AND (ii) control multiple machines with one IoT device thus mitigating the problem of limited availability of trained doctors.
What makes us stand apart from competitors ?
Novelty lies in the design. Nocca has been designed considering the availability of the materials, ease of manufacturing at a large scale, and affordability in India. The IOT enabled feature makes the device more efficient and safer in terms of patient and device management and health professionals’ safety.
